The Nancy Ferguson Memorial Scholarship was created to support educators seeking professional growth through Orff Levels certification training at the University of Memphis Summer Orff Institute.  Scholarship recipients will demonstrate commitment to the profession, active engagement in the organization, and a clear plan for applying their learning to benefit students and colleagues. 

To be considered, applicants should:

• Be a current member in good standing with the chapter.

• Participate in volunteer services to the chapter.

• Have maintained membership for at least one year prior to application (can include membership to another chapter if the applicant relocated to the Memphis area).

• Be currently employed in an educational setting or a student seeking a degree in music education (level 1 participation only)

• Have participated in at least 2 workshops and/or the AOSA National Conference prior to the application deadline.

• Commit to completing the certification course if awarded the scholarship.
